Written By : SUN FIJI NEWSROOM. The Suva City Council had been told by the Ministry of Local Government not to hold any more meetings with the Muanivatu squatters until January 31.
SCC Deputy Mayor Ratu Josefa Gavidi said the council could meet with the only stakeholders but not with the squatters.
Mr Gavidi said the council had not received any further feedback from the Tui Suva Ratu Epeli Kanakana and they would wait for January 31 to take action.
He said Ratu Epeli had told the SCC that the land where the Muanivatu squatters were located did not belong to the council but to him and his people of Suvavou village.
