Written By : CHRISTOPHER CHAND. Air Pacific Fiji Warriors head coach Ifereimi Tawake has made six changes to his side as they look for a crucial win against Savaii Samoa at Churchill Park tomorrow.
Former national sevens rep William Saukuru will mark his debut appearance for the Warriors in the Pacific Rugby Cup.
Saukuru has been roped in at right wing instead of Nadi winger Isaia Nawaqa.
Tailevu pair Ravai Fatiaki has been named at inside centre while Nemia Kenatale is at halfback.
Naitasiri lock Ben Sadrugu makes his return to the starting lineup with Samuela Bola being called in at flanker and Villiame Veikoso at hooker.
Fiji Warriors manager Isei Rayawa said changes were made in view of the game style the Warriors would hope to play.
Rayawa said a win over Savaii would put the Warriors a step closer to the finals.
“Changes have been made to suit our game plan and players were selected on their fitness and techniques,” said Rayawa.
“We want to play disciplined rugby and a mind game. The side hopes to make use of the opportunities and not just dominating possession and territory.”
The Warriors last beat Savaii two years ago at Churchill Park and that has been the only win the side has had over the Samoans.
Fiji Warriors is in second place in the PRC ladder, a win will be crucial in their bid to repeat their performance of 2006 when they featured in the final.
The match kicks off at 3pm at Churchill Park tomorrow.
