The signing offers Fiji Television, the right to use musical works in its free to air and satellite subscription television services broadcast.
It wouldn’t only be available in Fiji but also to other South Pacific islands.
FPRA chairman Eramasi Tamanisau Junior yesterday said this would benefit the association.
“The association is able to have a form of income for the next five years based from the partnership with Fiji Television,” he said.
Mr Tamanisau said the agreement was also an important issue for the association.
“It’s important for the association to have a formal and legal agreement which we have been discussing for weeks.”
He said the event is another stepping milestone for the association.
“It’s another goal that we were able to achieve even though hurdles had be faced.”
He added that the agreement would also build a strong relationship with Fiji Television.
