Serevi believes the New South Wales Waratahs rep is the next big thing and had a good chance to one day represent the Wallabies. Nasiganiyavi is cousin of former Wallaby winger Lote Tuquiri.
Serevi said the 21-year old, who was also a guest speaker at the Pacific Youth Festival in Suva, needed motivation and encouragement at this tender age.
“I have been trying to encourage him that nothing is impossible. He has a good chance (for Wallabies). I told him that once he is on top he needs to work even harder to get better.
“With Lote Tuqiri not there at the moment this could be a good opportunity for him,” Serevi said.
The maestro attended Lelean Memorial School with Nasiganiyavi’s dad Isei. They later featured together for the Brisbane Fijians team at the National Stadium in 1986.
Serevi say the young Waratahs winger who could not play in this year’s Super 14 competition due to injury must not give up.
“I saw him two years ago at a tournament in Australia playing for the Brisbane Fijians. He has progressed a lot since then and with the Waratahs.

“He is a very good player and very fit. I wish him well for his career in Australia,” Serevi said.
Nasiganiyavi played as a junior for Ipswich Rangers in Queensland and St Joseph’s Nudgee College (QLD). He then featured for the Perth Spirit in the 2007 Mazda Australian Rugby Championship after which he headed for Randwick and scoring 13 tries in his first seven matches.
Earlier this year he featured for the Barbarians side which defeated England. Last year he played against the Fiji Warriors and Nadi side during the Waratahs off season tour to Fiji.
