Written By : SUN FIJI SPORTSDESK. Former national rep Mosese Vosanibola’s son, and half back Joni Vosanibola will lead the charge for the U17 Dudley High School team in this weekend’s secondary school’s tier two rugby competition.
Young Vosanibola has been leading his crusade since the Under 15 grade with coach Viliame Sotia.
Sotia was yesterday watching his young players as they bid to get back into the tier one competition.
“These are the same bulk of boys from U15 grade, we have only lost two players to RKS,” Sotia said. However there has been a big blow to their preparation and bid to get through the quarter finals.
Asaeli Tamanitoakula has been hit with sickness and he has been the first choice fly half for the team.
“They have been playing together for long it is a big blow but I’m confident in his replacement,” Vosanibola said. Sotia said Tamanitoakula’s replacement national Baseball rep who has just returned from New Caledonia, Joeli McGoon has also been with the team for long.
Sotia is confident his team will win against Sila Central but he knows this will be tough because Sila plays in the tough eastern zone with the likes of Ratu Kadavulevu, Lelean Memorial and Queen Victoria School.
“Our aim this year is to make the finals and be able to win an extra place for the Southern Zone in the Tier One competition for U17.”
