He said eventhough FRU has been in the limelight for the wrong reasons after a report from the players, the mission is still achievable.
Amidst all that was revealed in the report from some senior players, Gavoka still feels that there were more positives than negatives that came out from the tour.
“Let me just say that there were many positives in the Northern Tour and I came away convinced that we can realise our vision to finish among the top four at the World Cup,” he said.
After the Europe tour, Gavoka believes the Fijian players are good enough to achieve their vision of a semi final finish.
“Our boys were good, we can do it.”
Gavoka earlier told SUNsports that he would await a report from manager Joseph Browne which was still being compiled to give light to what transpired in Europe.
However, Browne had said he has handed in his tour report before he went on his Christmas break trip to Ono-i-Lau.
Gavoka said he was in his village and have not seen the report.
“I’m sure the report has been compiled, but I haven’t seen it as I live in Nadroga; it’s the Christmas break and we’ve just had a cyclone.”
Gavoka has however asked the public to be patient with FRU as they would surely discuss both reports at length when the time arrives.
“So, patience please, we’ll get to it and discuss it at length,” he added.
