Cycling on Christmas Day in Suva

image Written By : ANASILINIU RATUVA. Cycling Fiji will be organising Fiji’s last bike ride today.
Cycling Fiji secretary Sydel Whippy said they used to have this event every Saturday but this last one will be special.
“This Saturday bike ride, we have it every week, but this last one we are promising the public that it will be a lot more fun since it is the last one for the year and it is taking place on Christmas day,” said Whippy.
There will be a total of 10 cyclists taking part and this will include the young and the old.
According to Whippy, they will also be teaching people how to cycle on the day.
“We will also be available if there some people who wishe to learn how to ride a bike especially small children, not only we will be teaching them but we will provide them with equipments as well if they need it and that is a bicycle and a helmet,” added Whippy.
Cycling Fiji president Dominic Sansom is encouraging the public to do something different and grab a bike on Saturday morning whether it rains or shines.
This event will be a 30 minutes cycle with a 10 minutes break around the Suva waterfront.
Anyone who is interested in participating in the Fiji Cycles final ride for 2010 should meet at the Esquires coffee shop and cycle around Nasese, Muanikau and along the seawall.
