Teams reshuffle

image Written By : ANASILINI RATUVA. Outrigger on the Lagoon Nadroga and Urpring Beach Resort Northland have made a total of 22 changes to their first XV for the Digicel Cup semifinal at Lawaqa Park today.
Nadroga won the first encounter 33-3.
The host team has made 12 changes, of which four are positional in a bid to fill-in for players who are with the extended Flying Fijians training squad.
In the front row, Ratu Seru Cakobau has been called up from the bench at hooker in place of Seremaia Naureure who takes up the No.1 jersey at the expense of skipper Tiko Matawalu who moves to tight-head. The second row has also undergone wholesale changes with Epeli Natuikata and Iliesa Ratuva forming the new locking pair in the absence of Flying Fijians’ Sekonaia Kalou and Tevita Cavubati.
On the flanks Nemani Nagusa and hardworking Semesa Gonevou replace Mosese Volavola and Aca Ratuva. Volavola will this week pack down at the base of the scrum in place of Nagusa.
Nippy 7s scrumhalf Emosi Vucago gets the call-up from the bench to form the new halves combination with Jonetani Ralulu, who retains the flyhalf’s role.
Naisa Narukutabua replaces Aporosa Tabulawaki at second five to form the new midfield combination with Jonetani Ratu as Sekove Leawere replaces Seremaia Tuilevu at right wing.
Waisea Natoga, who started off the bench two weeks ago replaces Rugby World Cup hopeful Apisalome Waqatabu at fullback.
Notable changes in the backline see the inclusion of Fiji 7s duo Mitieli Nacagilevu and Joeli Lutumailagi.
Northland on the other hand have made 10 changes, four of which are positional.
In the front row, first choice hooker Sireli Ledua starts at the expense of Vereniki Sauturaga who starts off the bench while former age-group prop Samuela Newa replaces Filimoni Verebalavu at tight-head.
Other changes in the forwards see Joveci Kalou form the new locking pair with Vilive Koro, Niumaia Bari called up to man the flanks with Watisoni Gavidi as the powerful Atunaisa Maiono retains the No.8 jersey.
In the backline, Ilaitia Rokotacoko replaces Timoci Nauagunu at fly-half, Samisoni Votua comes in at left wing in place of Malakai Sevudredre who moves to fullback for Panapasa Rokociri. Rokociri gets to don the No.14 jersey in place of Votua. In the midfield, Eroni Vasiteri starts at No.13 replacing Petero Nodrakoro who moves to inside centre.
Northland has also named a strong line-up on the bench which includes Banuve Dretiverata, Rosa Raravisa, Sauturaga and Isake Katonibau.
The match kicks off at 3pm at Lawaqa Park today.
