Lions gear up for Suva Masters

A team to look out for at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this week is the Mighty Lions, most of whom won the 1992 Inter-District Championship.
The MV Suilven Mighty Lions held a fundraising dinner at the Friendly North Inn in Labasa on Saturday.
The event is to help fund their trip to the International Veterans tournament organised by Suva Masters Football Club.
Guest speaker special administrator Labasa / Savusavu Vijay Chand wished the team the very best in the tournament and was impressed to see the former national reps.
“I am also impressed to see the veterans coming out to take part in this tournament.”
Manager Kunal Naidu said the Mighty Lions consisted of the former national reps and Labasa players.
The players included Taniela Tuilevuka, Buli Cama, Epeli Levaci, Solomone Catarogo, Petero Namoie, Useinio Lagivou, Tevita Tukania, Waisele Rasoki, Sakiusa Narara and Naren Sami are some of the star players in the MV Suilven Mighty Lions line up with Salen Kumar, Ezra Williams and Mohammad Fayiz.
The tournament will be held on November 24-26.
