Refurbishment is taking place at 56 Domain Road for the new Pacific Islands Development Forum Secretariat.
The Government quarters was once the Film and Television Unit Office of the Fiji Ministry of Information.
It’s an historic building that was once the residence of the Police Commissioner during Fiji’s colonial era.
Despite the refurbishment, much of the building’s colonial features will be retained.
Meanwhile, the Fijian Government last week gazetted the official recognition of the PIDF as a diplomatic organisation. – MINFO NEWS
