Twenty senior Government officials selected for leadership training in China will be leaving Fiji this Saturday.
Speaking at the pre- departure orientation, the Permanent Secretary for the Public Service, Parmesh Chand, extended his best wishes and reminded the participants the main purpose of their visit.
“On behalf of the Public Service Commission and the Government, I extend our best wishes to you all and hope that you will learn a lot from your visit.”
“You are required to present the learning outcomes of the training,” he said.
China’s ambassador to Fiji, Huang Yong, who was present on the occasion, hopes that this will strengthen the relationship between Fiji and China.
The Permanent Secretary for Education, Dr Brij Lal, who heads the group, is looking forward to a very exciting trip.
The deputy secretary in the Prime Ministers’ Office, Peniana Lalabalavu believes it is going to be a good trip.
“I believe it’s going to be a good trip in terms of leadership development, and a chance to look at the Chinese context,” Ms Lalabalavu said.
