Italian Restaurant Marks 6th Birthday

Fiji’s only exquisite Italian eatery, the Amalfi Italian Restaurant, celebrated its sixth anniversary in style at Port Denarau in Nadi earlier this month.
The restaurant which opened its doors in August 2008, is owned by returning Fiji born businessman, Hamid Ali.
And being the only Italian restaurant, it has received accolades from and has served approximately 165,000 guests.
The restaurant has created an Italian ambience at the marina decorated with Italian stones, tables and a cellar filled with Italian wines.
Restaurant manager Stefano Aprea said the six-year journey had been challenging and fun at the same time.
“Here at the restaurant we are committed to deliver the best of Italian gastronomy to our guests,” Mr Aprea said.
“Over the six years the restaurant has seen an increase in the number of guests served each year because of the dishes served with the authentic Italian taste.
“Our staff are well trained providing our guests with the best service and best food.”
The restaurant offers original penne alla Bolognese (Italian sauce) to the amazing spaghetti ai frutti di mare (seafood marinara) to the delicate dishes of veal, beef and fish delivers the best Italian gastronomy.
Mr Aprea has thanked his staff and head chef Vincenzo Maione for their dedication and hard work over the years.
