It was a night of glamour, glee and excitement for Princess Solomon Islands, Tiana Raikabula and Prince Kiribati, Masuo Tokito.

They were crowned Princess and Prince of the 2014 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival at Albert Park on Wednesday.

Both were picked Best Character as well.

Tiana is a Year Four student of the Christian Outreach College at Valelevu.

She is originally from Kadavu and has maternal links to Rewa. She is an Australian citizen, but recently decided to attend school in Fiji to learn more about her own culture.

“I’m very happy and excited to be the Princess and also to receive the Best Character,” Tiana said.

Her mother, Selai Raikabula, said she was very happy with her daughter’s achievements.

“This festival has been wonderful and we have enjoyed a lot,” Mrs Raikabula said.

She said Tiana had learned many new things and they were very proud of her.

Masuo Tokito said he was very excited.

“I’m really happy that I won both the Prince and the Best Character,” Masuo said.
