Nadi International Airport had two unusual visitors yesterday – a Canadian military aircraft and a French military aircraft.

The two aircrafts stopped over there and then left for Naoumea.

It is understood that the two aircrafts were going to attend the French multinational military exercise ‘Croix du Sud’.

Croix du Sud, which means “southern cross” in French, is a multinational military exercise organised every two years by the armed forces in New Caledonia (FANC). Its main objective is to plan, prepare and execute a humanitarian aid operation, which includes the evacuation of nationals in the zone of responsibility (the South Pacific).
