The Lil Champs Preschool and Daycare Centre has finally opened its doors to assist working class parents.

This was after the director Shabreen Abadan saw the need for working class parents to have access to proper child care services while they are at work.

“I moved to Nadi ten-years ago and immediately noticed the difficulty that many working parents faced in accessing child care services,’’ Ms Abadan said.

“It was my passion to have a preschool and daycare centre and it took me three years to turn my passion into reality.

She said the centre aimed to promote programmes of excellence that met the needs of children and their families for nurturing, growth and development, relationships and understanding.

Children at the centre are supervised by four qualified teachers and three volunteers.

“Our staff are trained up to the standards required by the Ministry of Education and have professional skills relevant to working with children,’’ she said.

The centre has three streams/programmes which includes preschoolers for four to six-years-old, headstart for three years and above and accommodating playgroups for two years and above.

Ms Abadan said the Lil Champs Centre provides more than just care; it offers learning activities to prepare toddlers for kindergarten.

The, which centre opened earlier this week along the Queens Rd in Namaka, Nadi, has enrolled 18 children.
