Timely Lift For Stallions

The BLK Nadroga rugby team received a timely boost ahead of the second HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge today.

Northland will try to wrestle the coveted trophy from the Stallions at Lawaqa Park this afternoon.

Josua Ulunisau, of Korotogo, who lives in the United States, bought sporting equipment for the team.

“The equipment are worth $20,000,” Nadroga Rugby president Tiko Matawalu said.

“The timely assistance greatly helped the players in their preparation for the second challenge against Northland.”

The equipment, of Rhino Collision King brand,  is to help in the team’s scrummaging training.

“Northland has a good technical staff led by head coach, Watisoni Ratulevu. They can be very tactical,” Matawalu said.

“They also have the support of the province of Tailevu which will boost their morale and will provide a good game for us.”

Meanwhile, Ratulevu said they had prepared well and were confident that they will give a good game to the champions.

“I’ve faith in my team and I’m confident that they can deliver favourable results,” Ratulevu said.
