The KBL Saru Dragons aims to win their first   Vodafone Cup 2014 Grand Final at Churchill Park, Lautoka this Saturday.

The Dragons, who have qualified in all grades, have never won the Top 8 title and will face the Fair Trade Makoi Bulldogs.

The Dragons beat Dee Cees Nadera Panthers 24-14 while the Bulldogs came from behind to beat the Sabeto Roosters 14- 10 in the semifinal last Sunday.

Team manager Krishneel Sen said they will leave behind their win last weekend and focus on the final.

“We overcame the Panthers last week and look forward to overcoming the final obstacle,”Sen said.

“There are some areas we need to work on before the final against Makoi. Definitely it would not be easy after the Bulldogs upset the Roosters on Saturday.”

The side will be banking on Noke Tikiko (lock), Aminiasi Aroi (wing), Peniasi Vatu (wing), Seruvi Ralulu (centre), and Samisoni Navtu (first five eight) to lead the charge.

“It was an awesome weekend for the Saru Dragons as we won semifinals in all the grades. We hope to repeat this weekend,” he said.

Final fixtures:

(Reserve) KBL Saru Dragons – Tifa Jek Hot Springs Sabeto Roosters, (Premier) Lautoka Crushers-Nadi Eels, (U18) KBL Saru Dragons-Tifa Jek Hot Springs Sabeto Roosters, (U14) KBL Saru Dragons – Malawai Sea Eagles.
