A United States-based hotel development and consulting firm will soon be investing $250 million to build a resort at Nadi Bay. Paradigm Hotel Group will launch the project – Fiji Plaza Resort & Spa – in six months.

Paradigm Group chief executive, Jay Singh acknowledged the Bainimarama Government’s policies in restoring confidence for investors to explore.

He made this announcement during the launch of Sharma Design Group’s Grand Fijian on Wednesday evening in Suva.

Sharma Design Group Limited is also working with Paradigm Group to work on the architectural design of the development.

“Our project, Fiji Plaza, will be launched in six months … and it comprises of two separate hotels,” Mr Singh said.

“It will be internationally-affiliated, comprising of more than 500 rooms with billet components of food retail.”

Paradigm is a privately held, hotel and a commercial real estate company based in San Francisco, California.

The company has more than 50 years experience in the hotel business, management and consulting.

It has earned its reputation as an innovator in managing, marketing, and developing distinctive lodging and commercial real estate properties in the US.

Paradigm has worked with projects major hotel brands like Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Sheraton – Starwood Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotel Group to name a few.

Mr Singh said: “We’re very confident of what this administration has done and restored confidence back into the business community and we look forward to next week’s elections.

“We hope there will be continuity and we look forward to be starting our project in the next few months.”
