Lethal Ba striker Osea Vakatalesau was instrumental in his first game with Amicale when they defeated Erakor Golden Star 2-0 in the Vanuatu premier league last Saturday.

The Wailotua, Wainibuka, lad provided a strong impact player for the Red Roosters strike force in the second half.

According to Vanuatu Capitol FM 107, Vakatalesau – Amicale’s new signing – seemed to have given the side a big boost.

“When he enters the field of play he gets too dangerous,” the station said.

“He is not 100 per cent fit yet, but the fans will seen a strong Amicale side this season if Vaketalesau is fully fit before the season starts at the end of this month,” it states.

Vakatalesau assisted Hekari United to win the OFC Champions League. He is expected to be drafted into the Red Roosters line-up this Friday. Meanwhile, three Fijian footballers are expected to boost Amicale FC ahead of the Melanesian Super Cup – which kicks off at the end of this month. Nadi utility Amani Makoe, Vakatalesau and Esava Naqeleca are expected to power up Amicale in the Melanesian Cup and the first OFC President’s Cup – which will be held in New Zealand in November.

“The three powerful Fijians will help Amicale in the Melanesian Super Cup kicks off end of this month in Port Vila and the first OFC President’s Cup in November 2014,” Capitol FM 107 states.
