Tevita Velodroka of Nabua is already enjoying the restoration of democracy in Fiji.

The 53-year-old said he was happy the general election has finally taken place after eight years.

“I’m so thankful election has taken place and I’m very happy to have cast my vote. I look forward to the newly-elected government,” Mr Velodroka said.

He said for the sake of his children and generations to come it was very important to cast his vote.

“The decision I make through my vote is very important because not only am I deciding my future but that of my children and their children as well,” Mr Velodroka said.
