The One Fiji party has sent best wishes to the newly-elected Fijian parliamentarians.

Party leader Filimoni Vosarogo said all Fijians would be looking to new MP’s for direction and inspiration.

“The people have spoken, and the will of the people must be respected. OFP would like to offer our congratulations to the Honorable Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama and the members of FijiFirst who have been entrusted by the people, to lead government. We wish them well as they govern for all the people,” Mr Vosarogo said.

“We also congratulate members of SODELPA and the NFP as they assume the important role of holding the government to account and providing the necessary check and balance mechanism to allow a proper accountability, not only to be done, but to be seen to be done.”

Mr Vosarogo said the party would now take part in the process of nation-building.

“We will be vigilant to issues that will affect the sustainability of peace and tranquility in the nation and encourage at every juncture, collaboration between the parties and selfless service for the betterment of the nation.”
