Ba Football Association has congratulated two of its board of control members who sworn in on Wednesday Cabinet ministers.

Former Ba/Tavua/Lautoka special administrator Parveen Kumar is the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment and former DAV College vice-principal Rosy Sofia Akbar is the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.

Ba FA secretary, Iliyaz Khan, says this is a milestone achievement for the association.

“We are indeed very proud to have the two of our own to be in Parliament,” Khan said.

“The two had put in a lot of effort and hard work in the running of the Ba FA. They will be an asset in the decision-making of the affairs of the country as well and we wish them all the best.”

Meanwhile, only three teams remain undefeated going into Round Four of the Metal Works sponsored Ba FA local league at Govind Park, Ba, this Sunday.

The teams includes the Taito Bula-coached Nagan Engineering Nailaga FC which tops pool A, while Wailailai Sonic and Young Brothers are in Pool B.

Bula thanked their sponsors Nagan Engineering (Fiji) Limited for coming on board once again to assist them this season.

“I personally thank Anand Nagan for showing us his support in previous season and this year as well,” said Bula.

Nagan said they had faith in the Nailaga FC this season.

“Nagan Engineering has been supporting the Nailaga FC for a long time after being approached by Taito,” he said.

“We congratulate his team on the remarkable victory so far.
