Women of Nailaga, Ba, will soon have their own resource centre.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Nailaga Women Resource Centre was conducted yesterday and officiated by the Tui Ba, Adi Laite Koroirua and chief guest, Dr Maria Doton from the Ba Women’s Forum.

“This will be the centre for education development, not only for Nailaga, but the whole area of Ba,” Dr Doton said.

“I am pleased and grateful to the people of Nailaga for their assistance. With men gathered here today showed their support to women in the village.

“The resource centre will not only be for the women, but for the whole of the village to make use of what will be provided to them from Government,” she said.

Adi Laite thanked the Government for its assistance.

“To the people of Nailaga, please co-operate with each other to make sure this project will benefit everyone,” she said.

The $30,000 project is expected to be completed after two months.
