Six clubs, schools For Lawaqa

Six clubs and secondary schools have confirmed their participation at the Nines tournament in Sigatoka next Friday.

Development officer Suliasi Cakautabu said rugby league legends Andrew Johns at Brad Fittler are expected to arrive on Tuesday next week.

“They will be attending the NRL grand finals on Sunday before they fly over to Nadi to Tuesday,” he said.

Cakautabu said for the main competition, the confirmed clubs are Namatakula Tigers, Coastline Titans, Yanuca Cowboys, Raiwaqa Knights, Outrigger Knights and Tagaqe Eels.

He pointed out the secondary school competition involves: Navosa Central High School, Nasikawa Vision College, Valley Junior Secondary School, Andhra High School, Nadroga/Navosa High and Nasinu Secondary School.

The tournament will be played at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

The Nines tournament will be opened by the Assistant Minister for Sports Iliesa Delana.
