Hyundai Genesis Wins Top Award

Hyundai’s all-new 2015 Genesis was named Top Family Choice by the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAAMA) during their second-annual signature event, the Family Choice Challenge. Evaluated at the beautiful Lake Lanier Island Resort in Georgia, the Genesis earned the event’s most prestigious award, scoring higher than any other competitor.

“A sport sedan like the 2015 Hyundai Genesis is attractive to drivers who want a family car but don’t want to sacrifice on style and performance,” said Nick Palermo, GAAMA president.

“The Genesis earned its place as 2014 Top Family Choice by exceeding expectations. Although the previous-generation Genesis sedan is an impressive car, this new model again raises the bar for both Hyundai and its competitors. Families looking for accessible luxury should add the 2015 Genesis to their short lists.”

All-new for 2015, the Hyundai Genesis carries a host of innovative safety and driving assist features coupled with interior volume and segment value.

An ultra-rigid rear-drive platform utilizes high-strength steel to hold 16 percent stiffer torsional rigidity and 40 percent stiffer bending rigidity compared to the outgoing model. This provides safety and compelling driving dynamics, allowing families a no-compromise motoring experience.

A suite of advanced assistance features such as Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Blind-Spot Detection, and Smart Cruise Control are available. The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is definitely a premium sedan the whole family can enjoy for years to come.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating

The all-new 2015 Hyundai Genesis has been awarded the highest possible safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

That’s the latest from the IIHS, which recently confirmed that the newly redesigned luxury sedan earned the agency’s Top Safety Pick+ rating.

According to IIHS, the 2015 Genesis received its excellent rating after a strong showing in all five of the group’s crash tests.  The sedan earned Good scores- IIHS’s highest possible mark – in each test, including the difficult small-overlap front test.

That test, which involves a car hitting an object that simulates a pole or a tree on the driver’s side, has caused problems for a long list of new models – so many that the Genesis is the first rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan that has earned a Good rating in the test.

“The Top Safety Pick+ designation recognises state-of-the-art safety,” said IIHS president Adrian Lund. “The new Genesis is not only engineered to protect people when crashes happen, but with its optional automatic emergency braking system rated superior in our tests, this car can help drivers avoid some of the most common kinds of collisions altogether.”
