The BLK Nadroga side is gearing up for their eighth HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge on Saturday at home -Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

The Stallions so far has had a successful journey in defending the coveted silverware and they aim to end the season with an undefeated run.

Captain Ratunaisa Narukutabua said the players had maintained the undefeated run and hoped to win their eighth and last challenge this weekend.

“Nadi will be a tough challenger and we can’t take them lightly,” Narukutabua said.

“We have been training hard and working to improve our defence and attacks before we take on Nadi.

He said the side would try to maintain possession and break  Nadi’s solid defence.

“Maintaining possession in our games has helped secure wins and this is what we have to do when we play Nadi.

“The past seven weeks had been tough.”

The side, in their previous encounter, thrashed VGM Vatukoula 55-12 last week and had beaten challengers Naitasiri, Suva, Northland, Naitasiri Northern Bulls, Tailevu and Namosi.

The Stallions are also the reigning champions of the Skipper Cup and have defended the title for four consecutive years.

Meanwhile, Nadi Rugby Union media liaison officer, Rusiate Ratakele said they had placed a media ban while preparing for Saturday’s clash.

Sunsports had been informed that Nadi will miss the service of Vodafone Fiji 7s rep Semi Kunatani in the match.
