“It’s all about sharing knowledge and learning different cultures,” he said.

Rasivhenge is looking forward to the school visits planned and also the community visits and is urging for more people to take up rugby as a referee.

“I urged more people to get involved in refereeing. Rugby is a wonderful sport. I enjoy it and you get to set your boundaries holistically as a person and with the territory comes a lot of advantages.”

Rasivhenge has referred Fiji’s matches during the HSBC Seven World Series and says his friendship with Fijian players has never got in the way of his profession.

“I get along with the Fiji guys and some of them are my good mates but when you do the job, you have to be professional,” he said.

“It is a massive change for me. My fiancé stays in Australia so I had to make the move and also it was a rugby decision.
