HFC Bank and Westpac Fiji customers can now make financial transactions using both banks’ ATM and EFTPOS machines.

This follows an interchange announcement by the two banks yesterday at HFC Bank head office on Victoria Parade, Suva.

HFC, near eight months into commercial banking said this was truly a milestone achievement.


Chief executive, Isikeli Tikoduadua said: “HFC Bank is committed to bring a wide range of innovative products to its customers and making banking accessible.

“The interchange agreement brings greater convenience to the bank’s customers in terms of access to their funds 24/7 and ease of payment using the Westpac EFTPOS terminals strategically located Fiji wide.”

Westpac acting general manager, Wayne Beckley, said: “Westpac is committed to the development of Fiji and our aim is to make banking easier for customers.

“This partnership agreement with HFC Bank is enabling convenient banking access with simple and cost effective banking solutions for all customers.”

HFC customers can have access to 50 ATMs and 1000 EFTPOS machines of the Westpac’s nationwide while Westpac customers can currently access six of HFC’s ATMs.


HFC Bank customer withdrawing on a Westpac ATM will pay a minimum fee of $1.50 per transaction and $0.60 for Balance Enquiry.

A fee of $0.30 will be charged for payments through a Westpac EFTPOS while Balance Enquiry is Free.

Mr Tikoduadua added the was in the making three months ago, thanked his team, the team at Westpac and other business partners for the successful completion.
