Appreciation For The TFL Employees

Appreciation For The TFL Employees

Many countries across the globe carry out recognition programmes to celebrate and mark the important role employee’s play in an organisation.

Just as America celebrates Labour Day, Telecom Fiji Limited chose to celebrate Fiji Day in a different way  appreciating the hard work of their employees.

They focussed on three stakeholders; community, employees and its customers.

Community – Reaching out

The day started with Corporate Social Responsibilities around Suva.

Senior officials from TFL paid a visit to the Dilkusha Girls Home and Saint Christopher’s Home to spread the joy of happiness.

TFL has always given importance to activities concerning the community whether it be cleaning the shoreline or visiting Homes to show a sense to loyalty and belonging.

Telecom Fiji chief executive, Mothilal De Silva believes such initiatives are important in a person’s life as it helps foster responsibility and brings out the true essence of a Fijian – the joy of appreciating one another.

Bringing fraternity together

Sometimes we get so busy in our daily lives that often forget the art of living. Life is not all about self-satisfaction, a greater portion also involves kindness.

Telecom Fiji Limited shared the same humanity when it came to its people.

A grand celebration was organised to mark Fiji Day and also bring the Telecom fraternity together.

Mr De Silva in his address said: “We are all united under one blue and gold banner irrespective of our ethnic, religious, age, gender, status and strata differences.

“We all work together to achieve one goal as we have a shared vision of making Telecom the leading brand in the South Pacific.

“We are rowing in the same direction and have mutual respect for one another.

“We have achieved a lot during the past few months in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Service Delivery, Product Development, Cost Rescaling etc. thanks to togetherness, and oneness of you all.”

The celebration at Telecom included fundraising activities, sharing stories over the grog bowl and enjoying an awesome show by the Fiji Police Band.

Connecting Fijians

There was another reason for celebration, and this was the launch of a new package.

Last year Telecom Fiji gifted the Civil Servants with Noqu Viti which was a combined voice and internet plan.

This year, a family plan was launched – Connect Vuvale Parivar. The revolutionary communication package was introduced to bring Fijian families closer.

At the launch, Mr De Silva stressed how TFL intends to facilitate data sharing among family members.

Connect Vuvale Parivar is a cost effective package that Fiji has never seen before.

Connect Vuvale Parivar brings unparalleled benefits to the people of Fiji where users can talk freely, access the internet to reach the world and connect with loved ones in an unrestricted manner.

It’s all about being close and connected with one another.
