Venezuela Envoy Presents Credentials To President

Venezuela’s non-resident Ambassador to Fiji, Nelson Lamed, recently presented his credentials to the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.

Prior to his accreditation as Ambassador to Australia and Fiji, the Venezuelan diplomat was the Charge d’ Affaires of the Venezuelan Embassy to the Commonwealth of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji from 2005 until 2010.

Mr Lameda has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a Masters in High Education, both from the Venezuelan Central University.

He has taught in various areas at the Venezuelan Military Academy and participated at various seminars at the Venezuelan Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education.

Mr Lameda has represented his country at various meetings of the United Nations, Pacific Island Forum and taught at various international institutions.

He said it was not just all the presents and the decorations but it was all about giving and spending time with your loved ones.
