Former Vodafone Fiji Under-20 rugby player, Livinai Tuicakau will team up with the West Belconnen Warriors Rugby League Club in Australia next month.

The 20-year-old was recommended by Corerega Sports managing director Laisiasa Corerega.

West Belconnen RLC is one of the feeder clubs for the Canberra Raiders

“This is a good opportunity for me,” Tuicakau said.

“I will try my level best to join the Canberra Raiders later and support my family.

“I know I had to support my parents and I am so happy that I got this contract.”

The Nasegai, Kadavu native hopes to makes the best of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

His mother Mereoni Leba was speechless when she heard the news.

“I give the glory to God for all he has done to my family and to my son,” Leba said.

Tuicakau will be accompanied by former Vodafone Fiji Bati and Fair Trade Makoi Bulldogs player Timoci Ratulolo.

The duo depart on February 20.
