Giant wing Taqele Naiyaravoro impressed in the NSW Waratahs’ Super Rugby team in their first trial of the season.
The Yasawa native scored two tries and is happy with his performance.

The Waratahs played Sydney grade clubs Randwick, Sydney University and Parramatta, at Granville Park.

“I’ve put in a lot of effort into getting where I’m today. It is nice to see that the hard work is paying off.”

The 23-year-old has yet to decide on representing Fiji at the Rugby World Cup in September.

“I know the 2015 RWC is a big deal but right now I want to concentrate on Super Rugby.

Meanwhile, Taqele’s father, Luke Ratuvuki wants his son to prove himself if he wants to make the Flying Fijians.

“I want my son to follow Henry Speight and Tevita Kuridrani and aim for the national team, whether it is Australia or Fiji,”Ratuvuki said.

“When it comes to the Flying Fijians, I believe players should be picked based on performance.”
