Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Fiji’s first and only overwater bures resort, is again a finalist in the 2014 AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

The Resort is being recognised in the Accommodation Luxury category.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort was closed for repairs and refurbishment in 2013 after Cyclone Evan but sprung back to business with an impressive turnaround.

The recognition serves as a rewarding fruit for hard work through the renovation period for the resort.

Director of Sales & Marketing, Samantha Muspratt, said: “We were closed for part of 2013, so now after a full year of operation after the Cyclone rebuild we are excited to be once again showcasing the amazing work that has been done to the resort and the efforts of our hard-working team.

“We are also always honoured to be nominated for any award and particularly our local awards.”

The Resort had previously secured themselves the Deluxe/Unique Accommodation in 2009 and Accommodation Luxury in 2012 and 2013.

Winning these awards over the past few years has helped the resort to continue to strive for the best.

Ms Muspratt said: “The award always gives our staff a huge morale boost and this is recognition of how hard they work to make our guests happy.

“It also one of the ways to demonstrate to our guests that we are consistently delivering a high quality service and experience.”

Likuliku also has its sister resort, Malolo Resort Fiji, and Rosie Tours, finalists for one of the biggest company events of the tourism calendar each year.

The AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards is a serving reminder to the customers that Fiji is a destination that priorites its visitors.

Ms Muspratt added: “These awards are support for our local industry and communicates to our customers that the destination cares about ensuring there are benchmarks for excellence in place to which we can aspire.”

The 2014 AON Excellence in Tourism Awards will be held tonight at the Sheraton Fiji on Denarau Island in Nadi.
