Outrigger Rebrands To Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

Outrigger Enterprises Group is rebranding come April 1.

A focus by Outrigger Enterprises Group to become the world’s premier beachfront resort brand has prompted a name change by Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji to Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort.

It is part of a new Outrigger Resorts brand revitalisation by the Hawaii-based family company.

Outrigger Enterprises Group president and chief executive David Carey said the acquisition of various properties around the world were part of its new standards.

The acquisitions include Castaway Island Fiji, Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort, Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Outrigger Mauritius Resort.

Mr Carey said: “This refreshed brand strategy is born from more than 67 years in the hospitality industry.

“We know beachfront destinations and have the experience to do them better than anybody else.

“Our guests will be able to rediscover Outrigger with authentic, localized experiences in iconic destinations paired with unmatched hospitality.”

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort general manager, Peter Hopgood, said the name change reflected the forward looking strategy of Outrigger Resorts.

Mr Hopgood said: “Our name is changing however the exceptional hospitality, service and friendliness for which we are renowned will remain.”

Mr Carey said additional amenities would be phased in at existing Outrigger Resorts properties over the next few years and be part of all future projects.
