Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday visited Year Eight student Meli Digitaki Taivei at his home in Kalabu in Suva.

The Year Eight student of Kalabu District School injured his right leg during a bus accident last year and has faced severe difficulties moving around.

During the visit, the Head of Government presented the young student a new wheelchair to enable him to continue attending school.

The new wheelchair was donated by the Spinal Injury Association.

The Prime Minister met Meli’s parents, Kolinio Waqa and Merelita Nukucagi, and thanked them for encouraging the young student to continue his studies despite his circumstances.
