The Lambert Sarju-coached Shop N Save/Reebok Lautoka side’s target o win their first Vodafone Fijian FACT title since 2002 is on track.

What happened: The sugar city side secured a semi-final spot after a good win over Nadroga in their final Pool B clash at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.

The floodgates opened in the second half with goals from Arvindra Naidu (30th ) and Peni Finau (42nd ) to lead 2-0.

Stalwart Finau scored the third goal in the 47th  minute before Ratu Josevata Dugucagi extended the lead in the 52nd minute.

Nadroga scored through Martin Nasova  and Joeli Navalawa.

Blues’ striker Dev Raj came off the bench to seal the match for the Blues on the final moments of the game.

Star Turn: Striker Finau worked tirelessly and was well rewarded with two goals to his name.

Big Play: Edward Justine played well despite being the smallest player on the field.

Comments: Lautoka coach Lambert Sarju said, “Our approach was different which resulted in the win.  And we need to play a different style in the semifinal against Labasa.”

Nadroga co-coach Ramesh Sharma; I’m we scored two goals here but there was a lot of positives we can learn from the tournament.”
