Pool A winner North Pole Hotel Labasa faces Pool B runner up Shop and Save Lautoka in the first semifinal at 4pm today.

And Pool B winner 4R Electrical Ba meet Pool A runner-up

Rewa in the second semifinal at 6pm in the Vodafone Fijian FACT in Nadi’s Prince Charles Park today.

This was after the four teams survived a tough battle in pool play.

And Labasa and Ba are favourites to feature in the final tomorrow.

The ‘Babasiga Lions’ bundled out favourites All Freight Logistics Suva while Ba stopped defending champions Jack’s/Chicken Express Nadi’s two-year reign with a 1-0 win in front of Nadi’s home crowd.

However, the ‘Men in Black’ going into the semifinal today is confident and taking a serious approach out of the four teams. And the side is hungry for a win after the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League semifinal finished last month.

The traditional giant of Fiji soccer is out to win its 9th FACT title.

Ba finished the final day of pool games on a high with its stunning display.

Shamil Rao scored the lone goal in first-half which proved the match winner as Ba finished unbeaten.

Coach Shalen Lal said they were taking one game at a time.

“We are taking a serious approach in the semifinal and we are optimistic,” he said.

The final is scheduled for tomorrow at 3pm.
