Tupou Vuetaki, 44, appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday in relation to the Aerotown Mobil Service Station robbery in Nadi.

The suspect, a driver of Toorak Street, Suva, appeared before Magistrate Siromi Turaga with two counts of aggravated robbery and serious assault of a Police officer.

The accused is also charged with two counts of aggravated robbery for his alleged involvement in an earlier case of robbery in Nadi.

He was formally charged for his alleged involvement in two separate robberies in the Western Division including the Aerotown Mobil Service Station on April 27.

Vuetaki told the court he would represent himself waiving the right to counsel.

Magistrate Turaga ordered that the accused to be further remanded to re-appear at the High Court in Lautoka on May 20.

Also on the same case first and second-accused Jimilai Tawakedrau Drose and two Jonetani Tawake will both appear at the High Court in Lautoka on May 13.

Meanwhile Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the search for the other two suspects continues.
