Traditional sponsors of the Nadi Rugby Union’s Jack’s of Fiji have renewed their partnership with a sponsorship of $45,000 for the 2015 season.

The deal was sealed at the New Nadi Farmers Club on Thursday.

Jack’s of Fiji chief executive officer Bhavin Khatri said their partnership has since 2013 continued to grow stronger.

“The partnership has grown from strength to strength over the last three years,” he said.

“There is much passion for rugby in Nadi, uniting us through a common thread.”

Khatri said the assistance included rugby boots, equipment, gear and merchandise and $20,000 in cash.

Nadi Rugby interim chairman Sekove Tuilakeba thanked the Nadi company for their support.

“We’re very happy with Jack’s for stepping in once again for NRU to achieve our mission for this season,” he said.

“There has been long relationship with NRU since the playing days of Savenaca Aria. Nadi last won a rugby trophy in 2008 and we want to end that jinx with this partnership.”

He also thanked the consortium of sponsors KK’s Hardware, Foodhall Supermarket, Big Bula Water Park, Motiram, Red Brick Laundry, Radisson Blu Resort, Wyndham Resort, FBC and the Fiji Sun.

“With all this sponsors on board there is no doubt of what we could achieve.

Jacks Nadi season opening clash will be against Tebara Bus Tailevu at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today at  3pm.

“We will win our first match of the season and take my word, the boys are ready to this,” said Tuilakeba.

“This is the first match and we need bonus point win as our aim is to be in the top four. Playing Tailevu in their own turf would be tough but we’re optimistic of a sweet victory.”

Meanwhile, the Redbrick Jacks Nadi U20 will take on Tailevu U20 at 1pm.
