Finau Seals Draw For Blues
What happened: Shop N Save Reebok Lautoka captain Peni Finau was the toast of his side in the 3-3 against 4R Electrical Ba at Govind Park in Ba last night.
But it was Ba who had to blame themselves after the ‘Men in Black’ scored first through striker Mavileko Nakama in the 44th minute after Leone Vurukania made a defensive blunder.
Nakama again scored in the 52nd minute beating stand in goalkeeper Levi Tawake.
In the 55th minute later Josevata Dugucagi pulled one back for the Blues.
Halftime: Ba 2-1 Lautoka.
In the 65th minute Dugucagi scored his second goal send the Blues fans into frenzy but Malakai Rakula came off the bench to score Ba’s third goal from a beautiful corner from Shameel Rao.
In the 82nd minute Peni Finau silenced the Ba fans as he levelled the score.
Big play: Rakula came off the bench and picked up from where Nakama left.
Star turn: Striker Peni Finau proved himself again as the cunning old fox for Blues.
Lautoka coach Lambert Sarju said: “We were down twice and drew level twice. The boys did lose concentration, I’m happy.”
Ba FA secretary Iliyaz Khan said: “We played really well we drew 3-3 and the boys played their hearts out. Lautoka’s a good team.”
