Namosi will be looking to make the most of their trip to Vanua Levu this Saturday when they take on lone northern franchise Macuata in round two of the 2015 Skipper Cup.

This was the sentiment echoed by Namosi Rugby Union chairman, Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu, when speaking to SUNsports yesterday.

Looking ahead to this weekend’s game, Lt-Colonel Vasu said they wouldn’t be going to the North simply for the sake of playing the game.

“This week we will be travelling to Macuata for the second round of competition and just like all the other teams we’re preparing well for our game.

“We’re not going there just for the sake of turning up to the game and playing a game.

“We take this game seriously and we know that in Macuata they love to play rugby as well as so we’re preparing with the intent to take a really good game up to them and also do our part to help with the development and progress of rugby in the North.

“So while we’re happy with the winning start we got off to last week, we look forward to an improved performance this week.”

Namosi will travel to Labasa to play Macuata at Subrail Park on Saturday.

In other fixtures this Saturday will see Jack’s Nadi hosts Naitasiri at Prince Charles Park, BLK Nadroga hosts Pacific Energy Vatukoula at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, Northland hosts RC Manubhai Suva at Gatward Park in Korovou and Tavua hosts Ovalau at Garvey Park.

Lautoka will meet Tailevu in the first game of the second round at a yet to be confirmed venue this Friday.
