GALAXY: Matches Postponed
The Rewa Galaxy Premier and Senior League matches scheduled for tomorrow will be postponed to a later date.
This was confirmed by Fiji Football Association acting president and Fiji FA League Board chairman Yogeshwar Singh.
Singh said in a statement the matches tomorrow coincided with the Fiji’s last pool game against Uzbekistan in the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
He has also urged all Fijian supporters to get behind the team and support them as they have a chance to make it into last 16.
Meanwhile, also congratulating the player’s was Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel who is currently in New Zealand. He met with the team on Thursday to congratulate them.
“You guys did us proud,” Patel said. “To see you guys capture the hearts and the imagination of the whole country is unbelievable. I know the first game was a tough one but to come out fighting in the second game is truly an amazing feat. “What you guys accomplished is really, really significant.”
Fiji will play Uzbekistan tomorrow at 2pm at the Northland Event Centre, Whangarei, New Zealand.
