Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji has appointed Shashita Nand to the role of Director of Marketing with immediate effect.
General manager Karen Taylor said Ms Nand would take immediate responsibility for all aspects of the luxury all-villa boutique resort’s marketing and sales.
Ms Nand will be working with World Resorts of Distinctions and Auberge Resorts to build the brand of Nanuku Auberge Resort internationally.
Ms Nand’s credentials include senior sales and marketing roles with several international hotel chains in Australia, Fiji and Thailand.
These include Avista Hotels and Resorts (Thailand), Marriott International, Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
A Fijian, Ms Nand will be based in Sydney, and says she will be “proudly representing the ‘Spirit of Nanuku’ and looking forward to “coming home to Fiji as often as possible.”
Ms Taylor said: “Shashita is regarded as a dynamic leader and very accomplished sales and marketing executive with the ability to develop highly motivated teams and strategies for success.”
She said Ms Nand has extensive background knowledge of the destination coupled with her sales and marketing experience, strong profile and contact base within Australia, New Zealand and other overseas markets.
This, she believes, is what makes her an ideal candidate for the role and provides the resort with an excellent fit.
“Having Shashita on the senior management team represents a major development for Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji,” Ms Taylor said.
“This is as we move to further establish ourselves as a true island experience on the mainland of Fiji and an authentic cultural experience in the ‘Adventure Capital of Fiji’.”
Ms Nand’s appointment further bolsters the resort’s overall management team which in recent months has been augmented with new Front Office Manager, Charlotte Steele, and Director of Operations, Joakim Zetterberg.
