A 23-year-old staff nurse at the Tavua Hospital walked away with the Miss Vodafone Gold and Water Queen title last Saturday night.

Miss Tavua Medical Sheetal Raj was the most surprised when her name was announced.

“I still could not believe that I won this crown,” she said.

“Being part of this event has just psyched me up because of the worthy cause for Tavua Town, which has been my second home since graduation from the school of nursing three year ago.”

She is originally from Keolaiya, in the interior of Sabeto, Nadi.

“Being away from home is quiet hard but the socialising exposed in the past few days will be my cherished memories.”

The former Sabeto College student has also set her eyes towards the Fiji Pageant – Battle of the Queens scheduled later in the year.

She dedicates her success to her friends, sponsors, and her family in Nadi.

First runner-up was Miss Tavua Town Council Melita Tubu. Second runner-up was Karalaini Repeka.

Miss Charity, for the second year in a row, went to Miss Goundar’s Timber & Hardware Shiwani Devi.
