Centre Vereniki Goneva says teamwork and dedication will be vital to the success of the Vodafone Flying Fijians at the 2015 Rugby World Cup next month.

The strong bonding in camp has impressed the Nagado, Nadi man.

“I want to thank God for including me in this great squad,” Goneva said.

“We can only survive our pool games through teamwork and being dedicated.

“One thing that has been keeping us together is our strong bonding. We know one another well and everyone has been working and training for each other.

“The strong bonding is one thing that is assisting us in this RWC campaign.”

The Leicester Tigers centre said all players had been working hard to earn a spot in the final squad of 31 players that will be announced today.

“These players have been giving their best; they have been putting their hands up for selection and I thank God for everything he has provided for us until today,” Goneva said.

He said he was also impressed with the professional guidance of the team management.

“This team management is one of the best we have had,” he said.

“They’re actually reaching down to the players.”

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee also expressed the importance of team bonding in the team.

“It’s important for the team to work together because if they have the skills, talents and don’t work together, we will not achieve what we want to achieve.”
