Building Better North  Everyone’s Responsibility

Building a better North is everyone’s responsibility which was depicted in the individual talents of the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North King contestants on Sunday night.

The festival is currently taking place at the Subrail Park in Labasa and will close on Saturday.

The crowd enjoyed the talent night as the contestants based their performance on the theme “Building a better North”

Mr Maituk Motor Spares Kevin Siwan blew the crowd away with his contemporary action song, which depicted ones faith.

“When everyone has faith in the word of God I believe we that we can build a better North,” Mr Siwan said.

Mr Pinto Industries Siona Vuniwaqa brought a whole different performance to the table with his voice.

Mr Zaid Engineering Patrick Rasuga and Mr Copra Millers Pio Tamaniuga performed a classic dance based on the festival theme.

While Mr Tanoa Electrics Gabriele Manakiwai rocked the stage  with his island dance which depicted accepting different cultures that can lead to building a better North.

“When we accept different type of cultures, I believe this can lead to building a better North,” Mr Manakiwai said.

Festival spokesperson Vincent Sahayam said the theme for the festival has been designed for everyone in the North.

“Building a better North is not only the contestant’s responsibility but it involves everyone in the North,” Mr Sahayam said.
