Vodafone, festival committee thank all

Vodafone Fiji chief technical officer Andrew Kumar, who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, said the festival had been a beneficial initiative with a fundamental cause to educate, improve and empower individuals and communities in the North.

“This year the festival promoted the theme, ‘Building a Better North’, through the ambience of the festival and incorporating in the messages conveyed by the talented king and queen contestants,” Mr Kumar said.

He said the festival continues to gain popularity each year since Vodafone Fiji begun sponsorship eight years ago.

Festival committee president Rajesh Rishiram thanked his hardworking committee members, Vodafone Fiji, the sponsors of the King and Queen contestants and the people of the Northern Division.

“This festival would not have been successful without you all,” Mr Rishiram said.

He said next year the festival would come in a much bigger way.
