The Vodafone Cup rugby league play-offs start in Suva this weekend.

Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) operations officer Joe Finau said the Top 8 quarterfinals would see Burenitu Sea Eagles take on Dee Cees Nadera Panthers while FairTrade Makoi Bulldogs play  Pacific Energy Kinoya Sea Eagles in the second quarterfinal.

“The winners will play Sabeto Roosters and KBL Saru Dragons in the Vodafone Cup Top 8 semifinal,” he said. “It’s going to be a thriller as all clubs are vying to make it to the semifinals.”

The Top 8 draws now see Pack Leader Nabua Broncos and CB Nadi Eels being demoted to the Premier Division next season.

In the Premier quarterfinals, an interesting battle looms between City Storm and Lautoka champions West Tigers. Navosa’s Sigatoka Electric Cup champions Tuwalu Tigers play Ra-based Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles while Northern champions Kurabui Warriors play Navatulevu Heron from Nadi.
