The Joeli Lotawa-coached Korovuto rugby team is confident of a positive performance against Army in the 3rd KK’s Hardware Shield Challenge at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.

The club created history in the Nadi Rugby Union (NRU) competition last Friday after wresting the shield from holders Tuwawa Green (Natalau) 13-9.

“It is a proud moment for the team to win our first silverware in the Nadi Rugby Union competition,” Lotawa, a former national and Pacific Islanders hooker said.

“We had one week to assemble that team. We will try to to successfully defend the title. This is the motivating factor and morale is high.”

The side will be banking on flanker Marika Visei and centre Peni Tuva who scored a try and kicked one penalty last week.

The NRU A-Grade final will be played as well with Tribe-sponsored Western Marine Narewa playing Tovolea (Moala).
