The Villagers on Kadavu have been warned against involving themselves in seditious activities.

The stern warning was issued yesterday by the island’s provincial council, following the official opening of its meeting in Suva.

Opening the meeting, Assistant Minister for Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Joeli Cawaki warned Kadavu islanders from associating with anything that would cause instability in the country.

Council Chairman Ratu Seci Nawalowalo said any form of seditious acts were unacceptable.

“We the people must follow that advice from the Minister. We should also think of what is going on, we have had the election and this Government is running and their services and developments have progressed,” Mr Nawalowalo said.

Mr Cawaki also urged them to support the development projects carried out by Government on the island.

The meeting continues in Suva today.
